SYNOPSIS
By the Tony Award-winning creators of Falsettos, here is an evening of energetic, sardonic and often comic musicals numbers about an aspiring stage composer during a medical emergency. Gordon Michael Schwinn collapses into a plate of ziti while lunching and awakens in hospital. He is surrounded by his lover, his mother, a co-worker, the doctor and nurses. Gordon has been reluctantly composing a song for a children’s television show that features a giant frog – Mr Bungee – and the spectre of this large green creature and the unfinished work haunts him throughout the ordeal. In addition, he worries that he will never get to write the musicals that exist in his head.

Cast:
Gordon Michael Schwinn (Tenor) – a lovable but sarcastic composer
Mr. Bungee (Baritone) – the slightly tyrannical director/producer/star of his own children’s television show
Mimi Schwinn (Mezzo) – Gordon’s loving yet unstable mother
Rhoda (Soprano) – Gordon’s agent and best friend
Roger Delli-Bovi (Baritone) – Gordon’s charming and affectionate lover
Richard (Baritone) – a kind and compassionate nurse
Lisa (Mezzo) – a homeless lady
Waitress (Soprano) – overbearing Mr Bungee fan
Nancy D. (Soprano) – a mean nurse
Dr. Jafar Berensteiner (Baritone) – an unsympathetic doctor
The Minister (Tenor) – a somewhat clueless man of the cloth at the hospital

Audition requirements:
1) Please prepare two contrasting songs that showcase your vocal range, style and ability.
2) Sheet music must be in the correct key in a folder of some kind (ie. no loose sheets) Backing track are permitted. Strictly no acappella songs.
3) Please be prepared for movement & dance exercises and harmony tests
4) Please provide a performance CV with headshot
